I am a writer.
I'm done with all the "I want to be" and "I hope I can be" and "blah, blah blah". I'm a writer. In fact, I'm a professional writer because, yes, I do in fact get paid for some of my writing. So enough. I'm a writer, and if you don't think so, than perhaps you should shut your eyes 'cause guess what? You are reading what I wrote. And that makes me a writer.

Seriously though, I am a writer. And because of this, I wanted to update you briefly - and later in more detail as things pop up, on a few cool happenings in my "world of writing".
First of all, I am happy to report that I am about to have my 3rd article for What's UP Magazine published. It is a two-pager about babies and toddlers and fear. I will continue on as an active Contributing Writer for this great Canadian national publication and will be bringing you my fear piece and future articles to you here at The Hugging Home. This site was created by Canadian celebrity Yummy Mummy Erica Ehm (remember her as a VJ on MuchMusic?) in 2007 as a playful place for moms to come to celebrate and commiserate the realities of modern motherhood, while trying to balance life as a sexy mama.

As the site grew, so did the team of talented working mummies whose creativity, stamina and fabulousness make the Yummy Mummy Club as groovy as it is.

So...there you have a few tidbits of writing news. I am pretty excited about it and perhaps you are not, but that's OK. I am allowed some shameless acts of self-promotion once in a while right? Look at me! Look at me! ;) But honestly...I really want you to check out the links I provided to these great print and/or on-line publications. I think you'll gain a lot of knowledge from them and you will have some fun along the way.

You ARE a professional writer, and a really good one too!! Don't let anyone get you down, you've proven over and over that your writing has moxy. That quote is amazing too, and will go in my "book of awesomeness" (yes, it does exist) ... I'm excited for all your new opps, ad look forward to reading all of them!
