Gratitude for Words

I am humbled.

I am humbled that people read this blog.

I am humbled that people take time to comment on this blog.

I am humbled that people think I have something of importance to say.

I am humbled by the words of a few individuals in particular.

It is interesting, because I have never met these two people before in my life...not in person. But I feel like we are friends. That is probably because due to the power of the written word, we are.

One of these people I have introduced to you a few times on this blog.

Steve Gutzler is his name and he has is probably one of the most supportive people I have discovered through my writing. He has given me opportunities to write, to help people and to shine.

Recently, he wrote a blog post as part of his IMAGINE series about success and significance. And he sited me...little old me...a mom blogger and freelance writer in Canada...as an example of someone who has found a balance between the two.

I am humbled.

I invite you to read all of his blog posts and point you to this particular post:

IMAGINE: Success and Significance  By: Steve Gutzler (December 6, 2011)

Tim Carter is the next person I want to mention. His kind words and blogging "beams" as he appropriately calls them, lift the spirit and warm the heart. Hey shows us that guts is the key to having the life of your dreams!

He was introduced to me by his long-time friend...guess who?...Steve Gutzler. And shortly thereafter I am sent a link to this short but incredibly sweet blog post (I mean "beam"!) and it brightened my day. Apparently I am someone that Tim thinks has guts...and I thank him for his vote of confidence!

I am humbled.

I also invite you to take a trip though Tim's insightful beam posts and show you what he shared with me rather unexpectedly:

Witty, Warm and Wonderful  By: Tim Carter (September 28, 2011)

I do my best. I try to be authentically me and it is nice to know that it is shining though and reaching people.

I have gratitude for words. That my words are finding the hearts of others.

And I have gratitude that the words of others have found mine.

Thank you to all of my supporters as I continue to grow and find my little spot in this world.

And in particular, thank you to Steve and Tim. Two men with success, significance and guts!

Smiles,

Lora
