My New Role at compassion2one

Hello readers!

Today I would like to share some exciting personal news with you all.

If you are a regular follower of The Hugging Home you will know that I have started to get involved with an organization called compassion2one - a non-profit charity that helps bring awareness to, and combat child sex trafficking.

I was recently named Editorial Writer/Blogger for compassion2one and am working on my second article for them part of a 3-part series focusing on the issue of child sex slavery in Canada.

In case you did not read the first piece in this series, check it out!

A Mother's Perspective: Sex Trafficking In Canada

Thankfully, this piece picked up some momentum and I was asked to get even more involved in bringing awareness into Canada. Steve Gutzler, President and Co-founder of compassion2one promoted me to the position of Canadian Awareness Director & Editorial Contributor and I couldn't be more pleased about this development. I really does go to show that if you do what you love, great things start to happen.

I will be passing along more information about my activities in this new role as they come up, but next on my list is my next article. As the holidays approach, it will focus on the gifts of giving and the "Three Ts" - what we can all do to give back using TIME, TALENT or TREASURE. Of course, I will post a link to my piece when it is released on the compassion2one site.

In the meantime, I would like to share a very brief video with you. compassion2one has a new Facebook page and Steve Gutzler is here to welcome everyone to check it out. He was kind enough to give me a shout out too!
