A Love Letter for Mother's Day

"I love my Mom...and I love my sons...for infinity days!"
 - Lora Rossi

This post is not for my own mother...who I love deeper than the ocean. I actually wrote a little something for her here.

So to start I will say "Happy Mother's Day Mom!!!!". You are the best Mom anyone could ask for. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

My awesome Mom and I on my wedding day - April 8, 2000.

I saw this quote and thought of you:

This post is actually about giving. Giving to your mom on Mother's Day.

My son Julian...who is ten...wrote me a letter and sent it to me in the mail.

Me with my sweet Julian

Recently, my husband took the boys out to go to Home Depot. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

But I have since learnt that they went out to buy a stamp so that Julian could mail me this letter.

I lure love letters!

It is so true that anything made by your children with love are the best presents ever.

Julian asked me if I would keep this letter forever.

I told him I would keep it and cherish it as one of the best presents I have ever received.

He smiled that wonderful smile.

Here is the letter he sent me (I hope you can read it!):

"Muffin" is what my husband and I called Julian when he was little. Actually, we still use it when we are in the privacy of our home.

What a beautiful, thoughtful son I have.

I am so lucky to be his Mom.

I am lucky to have all of my sons.

My Muffin Julian, my Noah Balboa and my Drew-Boo!

And for all you other moms out there...here is a little something just for you. This is pretty frickin funny...I highly suggest you treat yourself to a chuckle!

Happy Mothers Day to all of the moms out there!

So very true!

We all have the hardest...and the best...job in the world!!!

Smiles,

Lora

  2. Lora, I went and sat today at the final place of rest for my mother's remains. She & I had a long talk. I loved my mother Louise, indescribably. I think she would be proud of me today; like I know your mother is of you. I hope your day was special!! Tim-
