Feel Lighter After Laughter

"Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine."
 - Lord Byron

There is nothing like a good, hearty belly laugh to brighten your mood.

Sometimes, if I go to long without a good laugh I can feel it weighing me down.

Not laughing. Not fun.

I truly believe that the main purpose in life is to be happy.

That's better!

If you are not happy...than what is it really all for?

Sure...we all go through rough times...so I am not saying that one should or can feel happy every moment of every day...but happiness should be a feeling you have more often than not.

If that is not the case...you have some inner work to do.

Looking to children for inspiration always helps me.

A simple game of peek-a-boo with a blanket turned into many laughs for my boys.

They have the innocence and a natural sense of wonder that makes happiness inherent and unencumbered by the stresses that us adults have to endure.

Me and my little Drew sharing some fun and laughter!

Of course, there are some kids that have to go through immense sorrow and pain due to things such as abuse, troubles in the home, bullying, etc. But I am talking here about children in their natural state...in general.

Laughter is fun!

If anyone in this world can make me smile it is him!

Try doing something spontaneous and fun with your kids and see how you feel during and after.

...like going out for ice cream!

Try watching a funny movie or show.

Guaranteed to make you laugh!
Canadian comedians are the best eh!?!?

Try sharing a few jokes with a friend.

And try smiling even if you are not smiling on the inside. It does help. I do it all the time.

So look for opportunities to laugh.

It is contagious!

You will probably notice that those around you will be laughing right along with you.

"Don't worry! Be happy!"

Smiles,

Lora
